CleanSolarAus ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website at cleansolaraus.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our site, in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
Automatically Collected Information

- IP address and approximate location (country/city level only)
- Browser type, version, and operating system
- Pages visited, time on site, and navigation path
- Referring website or search query
- Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
This data is collected via Google Analytics 4 in aggregated, anonymised form. IP addresses are anonymised before storage. We do not use this data to identify individual users.
2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use the following types of cookies on this site:
- Essential cookies — required for basic site functionality. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) — help us understand how visitors use the site. These are anonymised and do not store personally identifiable information. You can opt out via Google Analytics Opt-out.
- Advertising cookies (Google AdSense) — used to serve relevant display advertisements. Google may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Google Ad Settings or aboutads.info.
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality. Our site does not currently use a cookie consent banner, as we rely on anonymised analytics and standard AdSense cookies that do not constitute "sensitive personal information" under the Australian Privacy Act.
3. Google AdSense
CleanSolarAus uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense is a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC. When you view or click on an advertisement:
- Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet
- We receive a share of advertising revenue when you view or interact with these ads — this does not affect our editorial content
For more information about how Google uses data when you use our site, visit How Google uses data from sites that use Google services.
